    Hello everyone,
    
    I'm new to this forum, and I am happy that a forum like this was creatied. Currently I'm shopping for the right parcel of land to build a tiny or small house on. I'm also living in small single axle travel trailer full time with interior space of 105 sq. ft. I am single.
    
    I grew up in a downsized home. We were a family of 5, two parents and three boys. During my highschool years I latched on to the common dream of having a big impressive house someday. I was drawn to this only in hopes of someday showing people how smart and successful I could be. Fortunately, I didn't reach my financial goals in a timely order like I had expected. In the mean time, I became concerned about environmental issues, and I also learned that there is much more to life than material posessions. Since then, my financial situation has improved, but now I am very interested in tiny or small homes.

    Hey all!
    
    I have just recently stumbled upon this whole notion of tiny houses and love it. Right now I am looking to find a piece of land that Is big enough to not see my neighbors, but still driving distance to the city, so I can still make a living. I grew up in a 5500 sq/ft - million dollar home and realized one day that I didn't use but 700 sq/ft 90% of the time!
    
    I think the appeal for me is cutting down on stuff, having no mortgage and then taking that money and traveling. I know I have always wanted a small but nice house. One thing I don't want to give up is a nice kitchen and flush toilets, the rest isn't as important. So right now Im trying to design a large TINY home lol

    Thank you for the welcome. I am a big believer in the idea of, less is more. I have built a log house and have wanted to to build a small, or micro house.
    Can any one tell me what kind of windows are used in the Tiny House, or Tumbleweed homes. They seem to crank open, and have divided light, or muntins. Who sells such small window like that?

    I have made a few posts recently. It does seem to update the forum but it doesn't seem to update the 'Freshness' or 'Last Poster". As a result the new activity doesn't show in the 'Latest Discussions'.

    It is not obvious.

    On the main 'welcome page', where it says 'Welcome ilanamoss', click on your username. This will take you to your profile page.

    You will see the sentence 'This is how your profile appears to a logged in member. You may edit this information.' Click on the phrase 'edit this information'.

    This will take you to the edit page. You should then see the 'New Password' prompts.

    This is a great little forum! I would love to own an unconventional tiny home, but it seems to be unknown in England where I live. Looking forward to using the forum.
