   In a nutshell, i need the cost of the following:

   1) that thing on wheels to build the house on, the one Jay Schafer had on his house
   2) cost of materials for building the house

   I would like to build a tiny house. Similar to Jay Schafers, but does not have to be exactly like it. How much would it cost in USA dollars for all the materials needed? I am no expert on construction/building, but can learn well. I need good plans that can be read by someone like me who knows nothing about construction plans. Basically, building plans are like another language and I don't know how to read them well. Is there anywhere someone can go to learn the basics about this?

   Is there anything else I am missing? I have searched everywhere and all I can find is some PDF files of plans but I cannot find any demonstrations or photos or basic step by step guides.

   They are building tiny houses for essentially free.

   as for the trailer look at your local scrap yard for an old pop up camper, tear the camper off the top and get the trailer. at my local yard its 100 bucks a ton unless otherwise priced to i got a trailer for thirty bucks...the rest is up to you!

   check out the diy forum to learn how to wire, plumb etc its not too hard if you know the basics of carpentry and can wrap your mind around a breaker box.
